St Olympia Orthodox Church - Week of 5 4 2025

Dear Faithful,

Christ is Risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life!

Tomorrow is the "Day of Rejoicing" (Radonitsa), where we bring the joy of Pascha to the cemeteries, greeting our departed loved ones with the news of the Resurrection. This custom dates back at least to the 4th century.

I will be visiting the following cemeteries throughout the day:

- St. Patrick's Cemetery, Brasher Falls

- Bayside Cemetery, Potsdam

- Southville Cemetery, Parishville

- St. Mary's Cemetery, Waddington

Please message me if you would like to join, and/or if you have additional graves that you would like to be blessed.
