St Olympia Orthodox Church - Week of 11 3 2024

Dear Faithful,

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Attached is the bulletin (thank you, Peggy).

Hopefully, you completed last week's "homework assignment" which was to read the Book of James. If not, there's still time! In reading, I was reminded to simply ask God for wisdom: If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him (Js. 1:5).

We have several upcoming services and events (here is the link to our Google Calendar):

We will be resuming our Friday work days. Please come at 3pm this Friday (11/1) for exterior foundation work
Join for Vespers and Game Night this Saturday (11/2)
This Sunday (11/3), following Liturgy, we will bless the Hermitage of St. Olympia and stay for fellowship
Monday evening (11/4), we will have a Molieben on the eve of Election Day to pray for our nation

Please pray for Amy Stark and me as we journey to East Meadow Long Island this week for the annual Diocesan Assembly. Amy will share her story as part of a panel discussion on "Women Converts to the Faith."

Your servant in Christ,
Fr. Gregory
